The bakery needs more customers, and it's up to Lulu to spread the word about its delights in this warm, appealing story of entrepreneurial crocodiles. Julia Donaldson's Spiffiest Giant In Town (052528484, $15.99) tells of a scruffy giant and good friends who buy him a spiffy set of clothes. George the giant is also kind-hearted, though, and his new clothes serve not only him, but those kindly bequeaths them on.

A second chance leads to more mishaps in this engaging story.

They are kicked out of pirate school as a result, and ultimately discover their self-worth in a different way in this story of two bad guys who just don't fit in. Her feet want to play games and do all kinds of things improper for a princess so she keeps her love of soccer a secret, until an etiquette expert and a kind reveal their own improper secrets.
