Critique: "Coco the Mooing Horse" by author/storyteller Leila Summers and artist/illustrator Olesya Burina is a delightful picture book in the Humorous Healing Anagrams series in a series of children's picture books using words made from anagrams of common childhood illnesses or other issues to create a fun story. "Coco the Mooing Horse" uses words that are anagrams of the phrase "common cold" and other connected words and phrases.
Let Coco offer children ages 5-11 some light-hearted fun by taking their minds off their problems, allowing them to focus on something different. With "Coco the Mooing Horse" they will discover that anything is possible if they hold fast to their dreams and follow their hearts! Of special note is that at the end of the book is a list of the anagram words that were used to create this story. Children can write their own funny stories using this list of words. Original and fun from start to finish, "Coco the Mooing Horse" is especially and unreservedly recommended for family, elementary school, middle school, and community library word game book collections for young readers.
